As many of you know, this summer the School Library underwent a huge transformation.  It is now a vibrant learning space filled with up to date reading materials and technology.  A SmartBoard has been donated as well as twenty-five Kindles for use by the students.   Over 7,300 books have been logged into the Destiny-Follett library system and we will soon have over 9,000 books in the system. 

We want to ask you to help the “Library Wish List Fund” by talking with your children about recycling cans and bottles at lunch and snack time.  Signs have been made and will be posted on recycling cans in the school for the children to use.  Every little bit adds up to a lot – another book for our Library!  Two wonderful parents have volunteered to take care of the bottle returns on Friday afternoons.  If the need arises, another recycling day will be added for this purpose. Feel free to contribute by sending in your own cans and bottles.  Any contribution to our library (money, cans, and books) can be left with Mrs. Angotti marked “Library Wish List Fund.”  It is our intention to purchase the books from the Scholastic Book Orders that our teachers give out – this way the teachers will get points to use in turn to buy more books!
